The French equivalent of ESL (English as a Second Language) is known as FLE (Français langue étrangère, or "French as a Foreign Language"). FLE is what you're learning right now, and it's what one of the women in this video is learning to teach.

The thirty-four-year-old singer Zaz made her debut in 2010 (after singing on the streets of Paris for a while, like her famous predecessor, Edith Piaf). Her single "Eblouie par la nuit" (Blinded by the Night) was hugely successful and is sure to dazzle you too.

Isabelle Geffroy, aka Zaz, sings “On ira” (We'll Go) from her 2013 album Recto Verso. She takes us on a beautiful journey where, as she says, "encounters make the most beautiful voyages." Let her powerful voice transport you into an ideal world where "children are the guardians of the soul."

In "Le long de la route" (Along the Road), Zaz invites us to join hands and take charge of our futures without looking back. Both inspiring and catchy, the song is a great example of Zaz's vocal prowess and poetic writing style.

In "Si" (If), Zaz sings about building a better world "bit by bit, crumb by crumb, drop by drop, and heart by heart," where she would "invent an Eden" for the downtrodden. Enjoy this hope-filled, inspirational song.

Zaz sings a very catchy tune, "Comme ci comme ça," from her album Recto Verso. "Comme ci comme ça" usually means "so-so," but in her song, Zaz chooses to give it a more literal meaning, "like this, like that." She wants others to accept her as she is. And to press her point, she never actually appears as herself in the video!

A theatrical spectacle called "Je t'aime, un peu, beaucoup, aveuglément" revisited the Oedipus myth, incorporating works on the same theme from twentieth-century French playwrights. The event took place in the Château du Grand-Pressigny, and the public was encouraged to wander around the castle as part of the show.
