Philippe meets up with his old friend Claire, whom he has not seen in a while. Philippe is thinking about becoming a teacher, and Claire, who happens to be one, is able to tell him all about her job.

Claire talks with Philippe about her holiday in the countryside. Then the conversation drifts to their respective children and their little adventures in the park.

Claire has a sore throat, and Philippe is concerned about her health. They exchange a few health tips and home remedy ideas. Claire loves aromatherapy, while Philippe recommends pans of water for humidifying the air to make it more breathable.

Philippe apologizes to Claire for arriving late. He was not sure which platform he should have been standing on as both trains went to Versailles. He realized something was wrong when his train never came.

Philippe composed a short piano melody for Claire. After playing it for her, he teaches her some basic chords.
