Daniel shows us some more treasures from the Sceaux domain, including the orangery and the rose garden, as well as the beautiful Dawn Pavilion. The estate also includes something that is fairly rare in France: a dog park!

Patricia explains how the famous Promenade des Anglais running along the seaside of Nice got its name. The Promenade has been hosting various cultural and sporting events such as motor races since the early 1900s.

Sceaux is full of many historical treasures, including a castle and an orangery, as well as an esplanade that became famous more recently as the site of a historic concert by Madonna in 1987. Watch the video to find out which French president was there (and the legend attached to his attendance!).

In addition to its historic castle, the town of Sceaux is also home to a group of vegetated islets that provide passersby with a place to rest and wild birds with a place to nest. The castle grounds also include an orangery and numerous pavilions to explore.

The Promenade des Anglais is Nice's most famous and beautiful avenue. Sadly, its reputation was tarnished by a 2016 tragedy that left 80 pedestrians dead. As a result, safety barriers have been installed to prevent this from happening again.

Daniel shows us two historic landmarks in the town of Sceaux: the Saint John the Baptist Church, which contains many valuable artifacts, and the Félibres Garden, which is named after the Félibrige literary movement. He starts out his tour at a former railway station that is now the town's market hall.

Patricia is on the Promenade des Anglais, the most famous avenue in Nice. The avenue is very long and stretches from the port of Nice to its airport. You can even wheel your suitcase all the way to the airport and catch your plane.

We continue our visit to Liverdun with Lionel. The town features a lot of houses with gerbières, or hayloft windows, through which people would hoist sheaves of wheat.

The village of Liverdun has an interesting fountain with a huge underground reservoir that collects water from the nearby Moselle River. In the Middle Ages, people used the religious statues on the village's street corners to orient themselves.

Patricia talks about the bustling Cours Saleya in the Vieux Nice neighborhood. In the nineteenth century the Cours Saleya attracted intellectuals to its literary salons, as well as tourists from all over the world.

Lionel is in the town of Grand, a Gallo-Roman city whose origin is puzzling, as there was no main source of water in the area.

Lionel is in the city of Schengen in Luxembourg. He talks about the Schengen Area, a group of countries between which European citizens can pass freely, without border checks.
